How to recognize true quality and the right value for money?
The garments, shoes, and accessories produced in Italy are often of exceptional quality.
I’m not just talking about their materials, their durability over time, and the obsessive care taken during manufacturing.
What I am talking about is design, style, and all those details that make these items instantly recognizable all over the world.

Unfortunately, there are different kinds of Made in Italy and these come with many differences.
Often, establishing the quality of a product is more than just looking at its price.
This method, however, is only applicable in one case, namely that of low-cost products. A product that is truly Made in Italy with a very low price is certainly a product of just as low quality.
I’ll give you an example: the piece of real suede leather that is used to produce a single pair of shoes, if it is of excellent quality, can cost 60 euros.
The production of a handmade pair of shoes requires a whole day’s work. Considering that in addition to that of the manufacturer, you have to add the seller’s profit, how it could be possible to buy an authentic handmade product for less than 180 euros?
It can, therefore, be said that too low of a price certainly corresponds to low quality or “fake” products… but to describe this second case, we would need a whole newspaper, not just a simple article.
There are also the big brands, which are famous all over the world. In this case, the price suggests that you can be fairly certain that you are buying a good product. It is easy to understand, however, that the selling price cannot always be considered to be directly proportional to the actual quality of the product.
Finally, there are the small Italian designers and artisans, the true innovators and holders of the know-how. These are the people who are able to create the highest quality products and to offer them at the right price. In this case, the public price is often misleading precisely because we are used to evaluating a brand based on its price positioning.
But it doesn’t take much. You just need to know and to touch to realize that true quality really exists… and is much more accessible than we think.
